Weekly Updates
At last week's vocational meeting, our very own Rotarian Kim Brouzes, a certified athletic therapist, provided an overview of the very first pain clinic in Northeastern Ontario.
She and Dr. Dennis Reich recently opened in Sudbury in response to an obvious need for this type of facility.

The goal is to help individuals manage their pain, and improve their quality of life by functioning as well as possible.

Pain Pathway North is the name of the new clinic and it is located at 1536 Lasalle Blvd.

imageRotary Day of Service – May 28

District Community Service Chair Kevin de Groot has set Saturday, May 28th as our District Rotary Day of Service.

Clubs are encouraged volunteer in their communities for an unprecedented Rotary Day of Service. There are lots of potential options such as a park or shoreline cleanup; provide seniors an hour of yard work or collect clothes for the homeless, refurbish parks etc.

We also encourage all our Club’s to get the public involved to maximize Rotary’s exposure in their respective community and to join us for a rewarding day of service, friendship and community spirit for the 2022 Rotary Day of Service! If you need ideas contact Kevin at bwana2009@hotmail.com for more details.

A message from L'Arche:
Across Canada and around the world, L’Arche creates communities of friendship and belonging where people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work, learn, and grow together. Locally, we have been doing this for the past 40 years. We presently operate 3 homes in New Sudbury, and a community participation program.  This year we celebrate our 40years of participation and service to the community. On Friday, June 17th, 2022, we are holding our first annual golf tournament, the L’Arche Sudbury Charity Classic Golf Tournament.  The event will take place at the Lively Golf & Country Club. We expect to have a field of 120 golfers and 30 volunteers on hand. Our primary goal is to raise awareness & support for L’Arche Sudbury.
