At last week's meeting, Rotarians welcomed Jennifer Grant, the new Executive Director for the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra (SSO). Jennifer explained to Sunrisers why every city should have a symphony orchestra, and how the arts give every community unique learning and economic opportunities, and identity. She emphasized that while the classics remain popular, what is considered a classic has broadened in scope over the years. It is clear that Jennifer is passionate about not only helping orchestras to be their best but also making them an integral part of their community. |
