The Perfect Night In with Vive Le Vin!

Invite your closest friends over for a night of palate-pleasing wine and cheese and incredible live entertainment -

Vive Le Vin In A Box brings the fun of our Wine Gala to the comfort of your own home for a fraction of the price, while still supporting a great cause!

Your purchase of this amazing boxed event helps the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers support charities and the needy in our community.

With your help we hope to make this year's event even bigger and better!

This year's boxed event will once again feature wines that have been chosen by our sommelier and are not available for purchase at the LCBO.

The wines have been paired with unique cheeses for the ultimate taste experience.

Other delightful condiments have been chosen to round out the charcuterie experience.

Continuing in the spirit of our live event. one lucky box will contain the "key" to opening a fully stocked Wine Fridge.

Many boxes will also contain gift cards in order to replicate the prize raffle trees.

A NEW addition this year will be LIVE entertainment!

If you purchase your box during our pre-sale between September 20th - October 9th 2021

you will have a chance to win "Take-Out Cabaret" from YES Theatre where musicians will perform live in your own home

on the night of November 27th 2021 while you enjoy your Vive Le Vin In A Box!

Everyone else will be sent a link to stream a "Take-Out Cabaret" performance on their TV but one lucky winner will get it live!

How cool is that!?

We hope that in 2022 Vive Le Vin will resume as a IN-PERSON gala but expect to continue to offer the Vive Le Vin In A Box as a additional purchase at the event due to the past success!

Last week's recap
Here is a recap of our September 23rd meeting:

At last week's meeting, The Rotary Sunrisers welcomed Anne Cooper - Director of Programs for The Learning Initiative.

Anne shared her story of her passion for teaching and entrepreneurship.  The Learning Initiative has built a supportive community teaching entrepreneurship in a culture shaped by her vocation as a teacher.
They work with entrepreneurs who are looking to start or expand an existing business.

"Our mission is to develop potential -- to foster the growth of an enterprising, self-reliant, resilient, and collaborative population. Learning Initiative helps people discover a happier and more productive way to live and work, on their own and with each other. We, the teachers and coaches at Learning Initiative, are friendly, intelligent, inspiring, knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate about what we do. We live what we teach, and are committed to a modeling approach that demonstrates the skills and values that are the focus of our classes. We deliver programs, courses and workshops that honour, develop and support the human beings that animate businesses and organizations."

They also work with youth wanting to learn about business start-ups.
They are always looking for mentors who meet with an entrepreneur once a month during their first year of business

Our latest info session is taking place Wednesday evening, featuring presentations on...

Green Tours - with Brian Nash, RC of Haliburton

Many would argue that we are now in the era of climate adaptation. Climate change has clearly occurred, and it is now more important than ever to understand how we can adapt to it. Community green tours increases our understanding of the things we can adopt into our own lifestyle and thereby help the planet while securing our own future.

Community green tours highlight innovation, responsible living, skills, demonstrations, and local food through stops at local residences, cottages, businesses and municipalities. Each stop is unique presenting ways and means to assist in our fight against climate change while  also providing skills and ideas to increase our own resiliency in an uncertain future.

What Part Can You Play In Reducing Climate Change - with Kathleen Caswell, RC of Wasaga Beach and Area

It is becoming obvious to everybody that the climate is changing. We are all contributing to this problem – some more than others. Let’s find out how much our own personal contribution to the climate change problem is. From there we can learn how to reduce our personal contribution. It is not as difficult as you think. Come and find out how at our next meeting.
