This Week
THIS WEEK THERE IS NO MEETING

A Note from Our President:

As we approach the summer months, I wanted to share our Summer Schedule.
Please see below:
July 7th - Club Assembly
  • July 21st
  • August 4th
  • August 18th
These dates have been confirmed with the Northbury and we will share the greeters, land recognition, recognition of gratitude, and international toast assignments prior to the meeting on July 7th.
We will continue to offer a Zoom option for those that would like to attend virtually.

Also, a reminder to please send your membership dues by this Wednesday June 29 to Barb Roy: roy@cyberbeach.net

On July 1, our Club must report to RI how many members we have and have to pay our fees for 2022-2023.

Please reach out to me, Barb, Jeff Shrigley or Mick Weaver should you have any issues.

Best Regards,

Ian

Weekly Updates
In lieu of our usual morning meeting, Rotary Sunrisers gathered at 46 North for its annual Turnover event.

President Shannon thanked the out-going executive and behind the scene helpers and formerly turned over the reigns to incoming President Ian.
Ian introduced his new executive.
Rotarians also inducted Matthieu Bonin into the club.

District News
New Passport (E-Club) for District 7010

The Membership Committee would like to identify if there is a need or desire to create a Passport (E-Club) for the District.

It has come to our attention that this model might work for:
  • Those who are not able to continue with their Club due to changes in work or housing location, meeting time, etc.,
  • Potential new members who may not live in an area with a Club or are not able to meet at the day or time the Club meets in their community, or
  • Past members who still have ‘blue in their veins’ but are not able to commit to the full community-based Club’s schedule.

The focus of the Club would be to:
  1. Work in partnership with District Committees and local Clubs on District-wide projects
  2. Work on International projects through collaborations with both the District and local Clubs

The Club could meet twice a month by Zoom at a suitable time that works for the membership.   The Club could meet in person on appropriate occasions.

All members will be encouraged to support a local Club with service projects and fundraisers.

To create a new Club, we would require ten (10) members to become a provisional Club, with a minimum of 20 to Charter (preferrable 25 members)

Please fill out the form below if you would like further information.

Also, please send this out to past members who may be interested in such a Club.
