Weekly Updates
At last week’s meeting, our very own, David Boyce, was recognized by Gerry Lougheed Jr. for his significant financial contributions over the years to Rotary International.

Sunrisers also received presentations from organizations that were recipients of our Vive le Vin in a Box proceeds.

The first presentation was by Lynn Ethier, about Our Children our Future. Lynn provided an overview of the organization’s programs
Including their food security program which provides healthy food to 200 families, including 70 children. Our Children, Our Future, embraces the vision that children and families are the heart of our future. Their future begins in the present through the playful educational experiences that children live as active participants and citizens with rights in early learning environments and childcare services.

The second presentation was by Donna Sheehan from the Breast Cancer Support Fund in Sudbury which provides financial assistance to patients who are living in poverty while in treatment.
This organization bridges the gap between the financial reality faced by breast cancer patients and the limited financial available to assist them.
